El director de DCU, James Gunn, ha insinuado un cameo importante hacia el final de la temporada 2 de Peacemaker, aunque se mostró evasivo sobre si se trata de un personaje de la próxima película de Superman o de otra figura del DCU.

La película de Superman que se estrena este verano precede cronológicamente a la temporada 2 de Peacemaker, que se estrena en HBO Max (sí, la plataforma ha vuelto a su nombre original) el 21 de agosto de 2025. Supergirl sigue el 26 de junio de 2026, aunque el calendario de lanzamiento de Linternas Verdes sigue sin confirmarse; ambas propiedades están situadas después de los eventos de Superman y la temporada 2 de Peacemaker.

A principios de este mes, Max dio a conocer un nuevo tráiler de la temporada 2 de Peacemaker con personajes asociados a Superman como Maxwell Lord, Chica Halcón y Guy Gardner evaluando a Peacemaker para ser miembro del equipo, una entrevista que sale espectacularmente mal.

Gunn le dijo a Entertainment Weekly que la temporada 2 de Peacemaker se conecta directamente con Superman y la narrativa más amplia del DCU: "Vemos más sobre la tecnología de la Cámara de Desplegado Cuántico (CDQ) presentada en Superman.
