Sony ha anunciado la terminación de su programa de lealtad de PlayStation Stars, que se introdujo hace menos de tres años. A partir de hoy, el programa no aceptará nuevos miembros, y cualquier miembro actual que cancele su membresía perderá sus puntos de recompensa de forma permanente, sin ninguna opción para unirse.

Los miembros existentes pueden continuar acumulando puntos hasta el 23 de julio de 2025, y tienen hasta el 3 de noviembre de 2026 para canjear sus puntos acumulados. A pesar del cierre del programa, Sony asegura que los coleccionables digitales de PlayStation Stars, como el modelo digital 3D de un Bobblehead de Jim Ryan, permanecerán accesibles indefinidamente.
