Lawnchair Legacy is a mature, feature-complete iteration of the Lawnchair launcher, built on the foundation of Launcher3 from Android 9. Currently, this version is in maintenance mode, which means it will only receive critical updates concerning the Play Store and security patches.

Lawnchair makes use of the AccessibilityService permission to enhance the accessibility of certain system functions, such as desktop gestures, including the option to turn the screen off. The app will prompt you to enable this service if it's required for your setup, though it's not necessary for all users. Rest assured, no data is collected via the AccessibilityService; it simply facilitates system actions.

Additionally, Lawnchair utilizes the Device Administrator permission to lock the screen upon detecting a selected gesture. This feature is optional and comes disabled by default, giving you full control over its use.
