AMC Unveils Galactus-Themed Popcorn Bucket For The Fantastic Four: First Steps — and It's Huge
Ever imagined scooping your popcorn straight from the head of Galactus? If you're planning to catch *The Fantastic Four: First Steps* in theaters, this quirky experience might soon be a reality. AMC Theatres has officially unveiled the limited-edition “Giant Galactus Popcorn Vessel,” and it’s already shaping up to be a must-have collectible for Marvel fans.
Standing at an impressive 17 inches tall, this popcorn bucket is a detailed replica of Galactus’ head — as portrayed by Ralph Ineson in the upcoming film — complete with glowing blue eyes and a shimmering purple helmet. The popcorn is served right out of the open top of the helmet, and each bucket comes with a large serving of popcorn, making it both functional and incredibly fun.
But that’s not all AMC has in store. The theater chain is also offering another themed concession item: the “H.E.R.B.I.E. Concessions Vessel.” This three-in-one snack holder mimics the H.E.R.B.I.E. robot from the movie and includes a large popcorn, large drink, and candy. Each item fits neatly into dedicated compartments on the figure itself, making it a clever and stylish way to enjoy your snacks while watching the film.
While AMC continues to impress with its creative popcorn buckets and themed merchandise, the company is also expanding its pre-show advertising strategy. As part of a new partnership with National CineMedia (NCM), AMC will begin showing additional commercials during its theatrical presentations starting July 1. These “platinum spots” will run alongside traditional trailers and are expected to generate shared revenue between both companies.
AMC expressed initial hesitation about the move but ultimately decided to proceed after observing no negative impact on attendance at competing theaters that have long used similar formats. In a statement, the company noted that NCM’s pre-show initiative “does not negatively influence moviegoing habits,” signaling confidence in the decision despite fan backlash over extended ad time.
Meanwhile, excitement for *The Fantastic Four: First Steps* continues to build. A brand-new trailer released this week gave audiences their first glimpse of baby Franklin Richards, adding a fresh layer of emotional depth to the film. The footage features Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) and Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) sharing a quiet moment with their newborn son — a subtle but meaningful nod to the family dynamic at the heart of the Fantastic Four.
Director Matt Shakman recently addressed speculation around Robert Downey Jr.’s potential appearance as Doctor Doom, hinting that the villain may not appear in the main storyline. However, many fans still believe Doom could make a surprise cameo — possibly in a post-credits scene — setting up future MCU narratives.
Mark your calendars: *The Fantastic Four: First Steps* hits theaters on [ttpp], delivering what promises to be one of the most anticipated superhero origin stories of the decade.
