Chainsaw Man Film Starring Denji, Reze Hits US Theaters in Oct
Sony Pictures has revealed the Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will slash its way into U.S. theaters on October 29, 2025.
The announcement came during Sony's CinemaCon presentation, confirming the studio secured global theatrical rights (excluding Japan) to distribute Tatsuki Fujimoto's cinematic adaptation this fall. While U.S. audiences will get the film in late October, over 80 other countries will see its release beginning September 24, 2025. Toho will handle the Japanese premiere on September 19, 2025.

First announced in December 2023, this feature film serves as a direct continuation of MAPPA's acclaimed 2022 anime adaptation. The story follows Denji, a down-on-his-luck teenager who gains extraordinary powers after merging with Pochita, the Chainsaw Devil. With chainsaws protruding from his body, Denji transforms from a mere Chainsaw Man into something much greater.
The Reze Arc movie introduces pivotal new character Reze from the original manga. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara with screenplay by Hiroshi Seko, the film reunites the entire anime voice cast.
