Since its debut in 2022, Elden Ring has soared to become one of the most beloved games ever, amassing over 13.4 million copies sold within just five weeks of its launch. By April 2025, the game celebrated an impressive milestone of 30 million copies sold worldwide, as shared on the official Elden Ring X (Twitter) account, expressing gratitude to all the Tarnished who have ventured through the Lands Between. The game has also garnered over 324 Game of the Year awards, making it one of the most decorated titles in video game history. Its 2024 DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, has similarly captivated audiences.

FromSoftware shows no signs of slowing down with the franchise. In 2025, fans can look forward to two new releases. The first, Elden Ring Nightreign, is a co-op action game set in the mysterious realm of Limveld. Players will assume the roles of Nightfarers, tasked with thwarting the rise of the Nightlord. This spinoff will retain familiar elements from the original game but will offer a fresh multiplayer experience. Nightreign is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 30th.

The second release is the comprehensive Elden Ring Tarnished Edition for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. This edition will include the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC along with four new armor sets and a customization feature for the three variants of Torrent the Spectral Steed.
