Emperor's Children Debut in Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge

If your favorite film series is Hellraiser and you enjoy a bit of ironic naming, then you'll be thrilled to know that Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge's newest faction is here: the Emperor's Children! With three new Warlords and a host of innovative mechanics, you'll bring the suffering with this Slaanesh-heavy faction.

The Emperor's Children were once a loyalist Space Marine legion that broke away from the Imperium during the Horus Heresy. Now, they pledge allegiance solely to the chaos god Slaanesh and their own desires, fragmenting into individual warbands that scour the galaxy in search of new stimulations and sensations.

To embody this pursuit, you have three new warlords to choose from. Lord Kaphrael specializes in eliminating enemy champions and leads the Callous Blades. Xarahan epitomizes the arrogance and egotism of the Emperor's Children. And then there's the infamous immortal, Lucius the Eternal, known for his exceptional swordsmanship honed over millennia.

The Emperor's Children introduce some truly unsettling mechanics that mark their units. Cards with the Ecstasy trait receive an effect when their health drops to a certain threshold. Those with Cruelty gain an effect if you damage (but don't destroy) an enemy unit. Stimulation triggers an ability when the unit is targeted by stratagems. Lastly, Combat Elixirs cause some cards to generate additional stratagems, which can be used to activate their abilities!

Keep your eyes peeled, as the Emperor's Children will be available in new booster packs and DLC starting now, allowing you to truly torment your foes with their unique abilities and units.
