FromSoftware has completed a new wave of server maintenance for Elden Ring: Nightreign, specifically targeting multiplayer connectivity enhancements.

Following matchmaking difficulties during the game's launch weekend, the developers provided troubleshooting advice – recommending system reboots and, for PlayStation users, NAT type verification.

The June 6 server update successfully addressed expedition matchmaking synchronization with active Remembrances, with online services now fully operational and players anticipating smoother sessions.

"Nightfarers, we appreciate your understanding," stated FromSoftware. "The lands of Limveld remain open."

Despite technical challenges, Nightreign achieved remarkable sales of 3.5 million units within its first five days. While unlikely to match the original Elden Ring's 30 million lifetime sales since 2022, it notably outperformed Shadow of the Erdtree's 5 million three-day launch record in 2024.

The Steam community rating has shifted from "Mixed" to "Mostly Positive" following quality-of-life improvements. Initial criticism focused on punishing solo difficulty, absent duo co-op functionality, missing voice chat, and outdated design elements.

Monday's gameplay patch significantly rebalanced single-player content, with developer confirmation of upcoming Duos mode implementation.

The development roadmap includes ongoing content expansions, with enhanced Nightlord encounters beginning this month alongside the confirmed DLC arriving later this year.
