More gameplay and release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally revealed

Bethesda and id Software unveiled a new DOOM: The Dark Ages gameplay demo during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date.

Transporting players to a medieval hell, The Dark Ages offers a distinct gameplay experience compared to DOOM: Eternal. Forget the constant jumping and parkour; this iteration emphasizes a more grounded, brutal combat style. Players will embody a powerful, tank-like "killing machine," utilizing a heavy arsenal to obliterate demons.

Central to this destructive arsenal are a shield and mace. A standout feature is the inclusion of a massive mech suit for battling smaller demons, and even the opportunity to ride a dragon during the campaign.

The game boasts a customizable difficulty system, allowing players to fine-tune the challenge by adjusting enemy damage and other parameters.
