The format remains unchanged from 2024, featuring a group stage and a double-elimination playoff. For newcomers, let's break it down:
Teams are divided into four groups for a round-robin group stage. Every match is crucial, impacting both survival and playoff seeding.
- Top 4 Teams: Secure a superior upper bracket starting position, skipping a playoff round and guaranteeing a 9th-12th place finish.
- Teams 2 & 3: Also begin in the upper bracket, allowing for one loss before elimination. They start in round 1.
- Teams 4: Enter the lower bracket, facing a must-win scenario in every match.
- Teams 5: Eliminated from the competition.
