Jump King's 2D Platformer Hits Mobile Worldwide with Expansions
Jump King, the 2D platformer renowned for testing gamers' patience and precision, has now made its way to mobile devices. Developed by Nexile and published by UKIYO Publishing, the game has been released worldwide for Android and iOS following a successful soft launch in the UK, Canada, the Philippines, and Denmark in March this year. Originally launched on PC in 2019 and consoles in 2020, Jump King retains its challenging jumping mechanics on mobile, where players must master the art of leaping to ascend through the game's vertical world.
What’s Jump King on Mobile Like?
In Jump King, you embody an armored character whose sole task is to jump. However, the simplicity of the concept belies the difficulty of execution. Each jump must be meticulously timed and executed; any misstep sends you plummeting back to the start, thanks to the game's autosave feature after every jump. Your ultimate goal is to reach the summit and encounter the legendary Smoking Hot Babe, but be warned—she offers no shortcuts. A single mistimed jump can erase all your progress, forcing you to start anew.
The controls have been thoughtfully adapted for mobile, requiring players to hold to charge their jump and release to ascend. Jump King demands precision, patience, and often, a bit of panic as you navigate the treacherous ascent.
What Else Should You Know?
Jump King Mobile operates on a heart-based system, starting players with 300 hearts. Each fall costs you one heart. To replenish your supply, you can spin a daily fortune wheel for a chance to win between 10 and 150 hearts or watch ads, with a limit of 150 free hearts available through this method.
The mobile version also includes two full expansions: New Babe+ offers a second chapter with a unique and challenging path, while Ghost of the Babe presents a haunting third act set in the eerie emptiness beyond Philosopher’s Forest.
If this sounds like your kind of challenge, you can download Jump King from the Google Play Store.
