Alphadia III has officially launched on Android for global players today, marking the third installment in the beloved Alphadia series. Developed by EXE CREATE and published by KEMCO, the game was initially released in Japan back in October of last year.

What’s the Story in Alphadia III?

Set in the year 970 of the Alphadian calendar, the narrative unfolds during the climactic stages of the Energi War, a sprawling conflict centered around the mysterious life force known as energi. The world is divided into three major powers locked in a struggle for dominance: the Schwarzschild Empire in the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom in the west, and the Luminea Alliance in the east.

As the world teeters on the brink of collapse, the story introduces a clone soldier named Alfonso. His life takes a dramatic turn following a visit from a girl named Tarte, who informs him of the death of another clone. This news sets off a chain of events that propels the story forward.

What’s the Gameplay Like?

Alphadia III retains the classic turn-based combat system viewed from a side perspective, rendered in a charming pixel art style. The game introduces various systems to enhance the combat experience, such as SP Skills, which accumulate during battles and can dramatically shift the tide of combat when used at the right moment.

Another key feature is the Arrays, which are strategic battle formations that players unlock as they progress. These Arrays allow for varied tactical approaches depending on the enemies faced.

A novel addition to the series is the Energi Crock. Players can deposit excess items into it while traveling, and over time, it produces Energi Elements. These can be exchanged for equipment or other valuable items at in-game shops.

Throughout the game, players will encounter various factions, such as the peacekeeping alliance Deval and the elite Nordsheim military unit Rosenkreutz. The game also features different energi clone models, including Nordsheim’s Berger Series and Schwarzschild’s Delta Series.

In addition to the main storyline, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content, ensuring hours of additional gameplay. The game is optimized for controller use and can be purchased on the Google Play Store for $7.99. A freemium version is also available on Android, which includes ads.
