Kingambit Joins Pokémon Go in Crown Clash Event Next Month

As you gear up for the Sweet Discoveries event, Pokémon Go is sharpening its blades for the upcoming Crown Clash event, set to take place from May 10th to 18th. This royal-themed extravaganza offers you the chance to evolve the formidable Kingambit, don a crown or two, and stock up on shinies, all while earning bonus XP just for evolving.

Kingambit, the Big Blade Pokémon, makes its eagerly anticipated debut during the Crown Clash event. To add it to your team, you’ll need to evolve Bisharp, but there's a unique twist: Bisharp must be your buddy, and you'll need to defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. No need for Bisharp to do the battling - just bring it along and collect those wins.

Joining the festivities are two new costumed Pokémon – Nidoqueen and Nidoking, both adorned with shiny new crowns. If luck is on your side, you might encounter their Shiny versions too. These regal Pokémon will take the spotlight in three-star raids, while the one-star lineup features Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard.

The wilds will be bustling with frequent spawns like Slowpoke (which may yield a King’s Rock), Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, and Litleo. Keep an eye out for Pawniard, which will also appear more often if fortune favors you.

With double XP for evolving Pokémon, it's the perfect time to tackle that evolution backlog.
