Limp Bizkit Track Powers Devil May Cry Anime Opening

Shortly after revealing the premiere date for its Devil May Cry anime adaptation, Netflix dropped the show's opening trailer. Featuring Limp Bizkit's iconic nu-metal track "Rollin'" as the soundtrack, the trailer showcases action-packed sequences starring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit - packed with subtle nods to the beloved game series.

Showrunner Adi Shankar also shared insights about the anime's creative direction. Set during the late 90s to early 2000s, the series will authentically capture that era's vibe through its music. Alongside Limp Bizkit, viewers can expect other period-accurate tracks and Power Glove's synthwave reinterpretations of the game's original scores.

Shankar hinted that future seasons will experiment with distinct visual styles and soundtracks to mirror the variety within the game franchise. This suggests the anime will extend beyond a single season.

While story specifics remain under wraps, Season 1 is believed to adapt the "Code 1: Dante" manga (based on Devil May Cry 3), following young demon hunter Dante as he investigates a missing child case - forcing him to confront his father Sparda's demonic legacy and fractured family ties.

Mark your calendars: The eight-episode first season arrives on Netflix April 3, 2025.
