Netflix Cancels Electric State Prequel Game: Kid Cosmo
Netflix is set to launch an exciting new game, "The Electric State: Kid Cosmo," in conjunction with their upcoming sci-fi film, "The Electric State." Scheduled for release on March 18th, just four days after the movie premieres on March 14th, the game offers a unique puzzle experience with a retro-futuristic twist.
Directed by the acclaimed Russo brothers, the film features Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt and takes audiences on a thrilling post-apocalyptic road trip across an alternate '90s America, filled with massive robots.
It’s Not Going to be a Simple Adaptation of the Movie
Rather than a straightforward movie tie-in, "The Electric State: Kid Cosmo" serves as a prequel, delving into the childhood of pivotal characters, Chris and Michelle. Developed by BUCK Games in partnership with AGBO, the game offers a game-within-a-game experience. BUCK Games, renowned for their work on the roguelite puzzle game "Let’s! Revolution!" on Steam, promises engaging gameplay.
Set in Wichita, Kansas, in 1985, "Kid Cosmo" will guide players through a series of puzzle adventures reminiscent of the WarioWare series, but with a distinct '80s flair. Spanning five years, the game provides a deeper understanding of Chris and Michelle's journey leading up to the movie's events. Players will collect modules, repair Kid Cosmo's ship, and solve puzzles that gradually reveal the mysteries of this intriguing world. For a sneak peek, check out the trailer below.
