Roblox Relaunches Egg Hunt as The Hatch

Roblox is finally reviving a beloved staple of its history in a fresh new form. The fan-favorite Egg Hunt, which started back in 2008, is returning with a new identity. Officially called The Hatch, this reimagined event was confirmed by Team Roblox.
When Does The Hatch Launch in Roblox?
The event officially begins on July 2nd, 2025, and will conclude on July 12th, 2025, giving players ten full days to participate. Speculation is already buzzing about what this new take on the classic hunt will entail.
The promotional artwork for The Hatch showcases several distinct biomes, echoing the design of the 2017 Egg Hunt: The Lost Eggs. That earlier event also featured multiple themed zones, each with its own unique egg designs.
Past Egg Hunts tasked players with discovering how to collect various eggs hidden throughout Roblox. This often involved solving puzzles, finishing mini-games, or being in a specific place at a precise time.
Interestingly, the announcement itself was suitably dramatic for the event's return. It started with a cryptic post from the official Roblox X account last week, consisting solely of emojis like earth, water, fire, tornado, lightning, heart, hourglass, snowflake, lightbulb, and a black circle.
Then, on June 11th, Roblox released a teaser video titled The Hatch across all its major platforms, including Instagram, Threads, X, and YouTube.
For now, that's everything we know about Roblox's The Hatch. Whether it will be a developer-led hunt like its predecessors remains to be seen. More details are expected to be revealed in the near future.
In the meantime, you can download Roblox from the Google Play Store. The platform has plenty of other activities happening right now, including a gacha event to build your ultimate Tamagotchi team and the ongoing Green Empire event.
