Developer SHIFT UP recently unveiled a trailer for their highly anticipated Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC collaboration. Released on YouTube on May 22, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the appearance of the quirky chibi-dog meme, Doro, much to their surprise and delight.

Towards the end of the trailer, Doro makes a brief but memorable appearance, interacting with Stellar Blade’s protagonist, Eve. Fully animated and bursting with energy, Doro is seen striking poses, dashing around, and concluding the trailer with a playful laugh.

The origin of the Doro meme traces back to fan art of Stella Unibell from the game "Soulworker", depicted as a chibi-dog. This artwork caught fire within Korean NIKKE forums and was adapted to NIKKE’s Dorothy, eventually earning the nickname "Dororong". Known for her cute yet chaotic persona, she became globally recognized as "Gremlin Dorothy", extending her fame beyond the NIKKE community.

Doro's popularity reached new heights when SHIFT UP CEO Kim Hyung Tae and his wife were spotted in 2024 with a Christmas-themed Doro plush. While the exact role Doro will play in the collaboration remains a mystery, fans are buzzing with excitement over her inclusion, seeing it as a delightful and fitting addition.

Stellar Blade x NIKKE Launches June 11

Mark your calendars for June 11, as the highly anticipated crossover event launches alongside the PC version of the game. The official website teases a slew of exciting features, including a new boss battle, NIKKE-themed rewards and outfits, a new mini-game, and more.

According to the site, "The warrior Scarlet has arrived from Shift Up’s hit third-person shooter mobile app to challenge you in a one-on-one showdown for the ages – only by defeating this new Boss, can you claim a new costume, hairstyle, and song for EVE as a reward."

Additionally, the new mini-game draws inspiration from NIKKE’s sci-fi shooting mechanics, and players can visit a rewards shop run by NIKKE’s faithful robotic dog, Volt, where themed outfits and cosmetics await. For a more relaxed experience, players can enjoy fishing and collect six unique NIKKE items.

While specifics about the outfits and other rewards are yet to be disclosed, fans are thrilled about the collaboration between these two SHIFT UP titles, promising an unforgettable experience for enthusiasts of both franchises.
