Superman Trailer Unveils Baby, Gardner Clash, Laser Battle

The latest Superman trailer showcases exciting new footage, offering fans a thrilling glimpse into the highly anticipated DC Universe blockbuster arriving this July.

Featured below, the trailer depicts Superman confronting multiple villains as Lex Luthor delivers chilling threats. Luthor's intense hatred for Superman becomes evident when he vows to target Lois Lane and everyone close to the Man of Steel. "Your schemes will fail, Luthor, no matter what you do to me," Superman defiantly responds.

The preview reveals breathtaking scenes: Superman rescuing civilians, battling the fiery kaiju previously teased, rejuvenating under sunlight, and facing off against Nathan Fillion's quippy Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, who challenges, "Make your move, Big Blue." Surely their rivalry evolves into camaraderie.

Earlier this month, director James Gunn confirmed Superman's runtime while debunking rumors that Warner Bros. pressured him to shorten the film.

Scheduled for July 11 release, Superman will run 2 hours 9 minutes including credits—15 minutes leaner than 2013's Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill.

This condensed runtime means the 2025 reboot must efficiently balance its expansive cast. Beyond central figures Clark Kent/Superman, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor, numerous heroes and villains populate the story.
