Trinity Trigger: Secret of Mana-Style Action RPG Now on Android
Furyu Corporation, the renowned Japanese game studio, has recently introduced Trinity Trigger to the Android platform. Initially released on consoles and PC with Xseed Games handling the Western distribution, the mobile version now marks Furyu’s first self-published venture.
Set in the expansive world of Trinitia, players assume the role of Cyan, destined to confront the Warrior of Order as the chosen Warrior of Chaos. Joined by allies Elise and Zantis, Cyan embarks on an epic journey accompanied by the Triggers—beast-like companions capable of transforming into eight distinct weapon types. Real-time strategy takes center stage as players seamlessly swap between characters during battles.
The narrative draws upon classic JRPG elements, featuring themes of destiny, hidden histories, and a world balancing precariously on the brink of chaos. Expect familiar JRPG staples such as town exploration, engaging NPC interactions, and challenging dungeon crawls. Each dungeon, crafted from remnants of godlike weapons known as Arma, presents a labyrinthine challenge filled with puzzles, secrets, and formidable foes. The diverse environments span icy tundras to arid deserts, offering visual variety and immersive gameplay.
Combat in Trinity Trigger hinges on the innovative Weapon Wheel system, enabling rapid weapon swaps to exploit enemy vulnerabilities. Gear upgrades are achievable through resources gathered throughout your adventure. The game boasts fully voiced dialogue and high-quality animated cutscenes, enhancing its cinematic appeal. Players can control three characters, each equipped with nine weapons and unique skill sets.
Priced at $19.99 on the Google Play Store, Trinity Trigger offers a premium RPG experience. For more gaming updates, stay tuned to our coverage of the Toram Online x Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense S2 collaboration.
