En una entrevista del 4 de marzo de 2025 con Dengeki Online, los desarrolladores de Suikoden I & II HD Remaster compartieron detalles sobre el proceso de entregar un remaster de alta calidad.

Anunciado inicialmente en 2022 con un lanzamiento planeado para 2023, el proyecto enfrentó retrasos y ahora está programado para lanzarse este año. El IP de la serie Suikoden Gensho y director del juego, Takahiro Sakiyama, explicó que la depuración en la etapa final reveló áreas que necesitaban refinamiento, lo que llevó al equipo a posponer el lanzamiento para mantener la calidad.
