Attention all Death Stranding fans! Get ready for an exhilarating experience with the highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, set to launch in June. The beloved star of the franchise, actor Norman Reedus, recently shared exciting details about the upcoming game and teased the future film adaptation in an engaging interview with IGN.

When asked about the possibility of playing himself in the film adaptation, which was announced to be in development by Michael Sarnoski and A24 last month, Reedus responded enthusiastically, "If it was an option, yeah, for sure. I don’t know what’s happening with it. It’s so pre pre pre right now. But yeah, of course." This statement has sparked excitement and anticipation among fans eager to see how the game's narrative will translate to the big screen.

During the interview, Reedus also addressed his experience with the first game and his perspective on the sequel. Despite admitting that understanding creator Hideo Kojima's vision can be challenging, Reedus expressed deep trust in Kojima's creative direction. "As far as working with him and understanding where his head’s at, I don’t think anybody can understand where his head’s at," he shared. "He’s just that guy, he’s out there and he’s got great ideas. But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There’s more action in it, there’s more of a definite goal to get to."

Regardless of the complexities involved in the Death Stranding universe, Reedus remains enthusiastic and fully committed to the project. "It’s always a trip working on those things," he told IGN. "It’s great, but it’s wild."

Mark your calendars, as Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is slated for release on June 26, 2025. Fans can look forward to a thrilling continuation of the saga with more action and a clearer narrative goal, all under the innovative guidance of Hideo Kojima.
