Paradox Prioritizing Polish and Performance

The development team confirmed another delay for Bloodlines 2 via their official X (formerly Twitter) account on March 26th, accompanied by a video update from Executive Producer Marco Behrmann. "Right now the game is feature-complete," Behrmann explained in the video. "We're dedicating all our efforts to squashing bugs and optimizing performance to ensure you get the polished experience you deserve."

While Paradox has been consistently sharing development insights through monthly Dev Diaries, these updates will temporarily pause as the studio focuses all resources on refining the final product.

Bloodlines 2 Development Timeline

The game's development saga began with its initial March 2019 announcement, targeting a March 2020 release under developer Hardsuit Labs. After two consecutive delays (first to late 2020, then 2021) and multiple key staff departures, Paradox made the drastic decision in February 2021 to switch development to The Chinese Room.

The timeline kept shifting - from late 2024 to early 2025, and now finally to October 2025. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will launch on current and previous-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles, plus PC. For more updates, keep an eye on our continuing coverage.
